Hello, I’m Virginia!
Welcome to Princess & the Pea Props.
Since 2014, we’ve been carefully curating and supplying beautiful newborn photography props to photographers and families throughout Australia and around the world.
Princess & the Pea Props began from my own experience as an AIPP-qualified newborn photographer. At the time, I struggled to find the timeless, high-quality props I envisioned for my sessions here in Australia. So I set out to create a collection that combined beautiful craftsmanship, premium quality and classic styling - pieces designed to beautify every newborn gallery.
Today, I work closely with talented artisans and trusted suppliers from around the world to source unique wraps, layers, outfits, accessories and studio props that are both practical and beautifully made. Every product is selected with newborn photography in mind, helping photographers create elegant, timeless images that families will treasure for generations.
We proudly keep the majority of our products in stock and ready for immediate dispatch, with new collections arriving regularly. If an item is temporarily unavailable, simply join the waitlist on the product page and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s back in stock.

A little about me…
When I’m not surrounded by beautiful newborn props, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, enjoying a great coffee, tending to my ever-growing collection of plants, exploring the outdoors, or finding inspiration through art, music and design. And, of course, keeping up with our very cheeky fur baby who definitely keeps life interesting!
Safety First
The safety and wellbeing of every newborn is always the highest priority.
Please remember:
- Some props contain small parts that may become loose over time. Always supervise babies and young children while using any prop.
- Ensure adequate padding and support is used at all times for your baby’s comfort and safety.
- Never leave a baby unattended while using photography props, and always use a spotter whenever required.
